NATURE FIELD TRIP REPORT
 AT NORTH TORAJA REGENCY
ON 14-16 OCTOBER 2019


Hi, Im Indy. This is my second blog. In this blog i will share my experience during Nature Field Trip at North Toraja Regency.

On First Day we gathering in front of the Orange Building of Poltekpar Makassar and got ready to go to North Toraja Regency.
From Makassar to North Toraja Regency we Passed Maros Regency, Pangkep Regency, Barru Regency, Pare Pare City, Enrekang City and Toraja Regency. we had lunch at Kupa Beach Restaurant Barru Regency. after lunch we headed to Bambapuang Area in Enrekang Regency to had Coffee Break. After Coffee Break we headed to Toraja Indra Hotel in North Toraja Regency to Check in and prepare to dinner at Ayam Penyet Ria Restaurant.

at Ayam Penyet Ria Restaurant we had Dinner and after Dinner we held evaluation night about our trip in that day after that we back to hotel and take a rest.


On second day we went to Timenbayo to see a beautifull scenery. After Enjoying the beautiful scenery we continue the trip to Loko' Mata to see the wonderful burial grave.



after that we did soft tracking to Mentirotiku Restaurant at Batutomonga, we enjoy our lunch and ate something new, namely Pa'piong, its traditional food from toraja. the main ingredients is a chicken, cooked with some ingredients inside the bamboo and its taste so good, we ate Pa'piong with Red Rice.




After lunch we continue tracking from Lempo to Bori.  when walking we see the daily life of local people of Toraja, like traditional houses of Toraja, traditional Rice Barn, those who are repairing houses, how to make carvings in rice barns, and we visit baby grave too and we also try palm Wine.



After Tracking we went to Todi to saw silk Weaving and then we  back to hotel.



On third day we prepare to check out from hotel before we Breakfast in hotel restaurant. after that we return back to Makassar. we had lunch in Teras Empang Restaurant in Pare Pare City. After Lunch we continue our trip to Makassar. After arriving in Makassar we returned to our respective home.

Marine Field Trip Report at Dutungan Island Barru Regency and Paputo Beach Parepare City

Marine Field Trip Report

 at Dutungan Island, Barru Regency and Paputo Beach, Parepare City

on 10-11 October 2019




Hi, I'm Indy. I'm One of the student in Makassar Tourism Polytechnic in Tours And Travel Business Study Program. I will share my experience during in Marine field trip on 10-11 October 2019 2D1N.

Basicly in Makassar Tourism Politechnic especially In Tours And Travel Business Study Program, Field Trip is one of the learning processes outside the classroom. from each semester we have 2 Field Trip, Marine Field Trip is My First Field Trip in Third Semester.

On Day One we Gathering At Makassar Tourism Politechnic at 06.00 a.m in front of the Orange Building. And the Tour Leader start checking the attendance list and lead us to get on the bus and the bus leave Makassar Tourism Politechnic to Tanjung Indah Dock at Barru Regency. From Makassar Tourism Politechnic to Tanjung Indah Dock its take about 3-4 hours by bus.








For your information, Dutungan Island dutungan island is an island located in Barru Regency, and actually Dutungan Island is included on the border between Barru Regency and Pare-Pare Regency. Dutungan Island is a small island with beautiful white sand. many facilities provided there, such as restaurant, gazebo, rest room, diving and snorkeling stuff and many more.


We arrive at Tanjung Indah Dock at 09.45 a.m. When we Arrive at Tanjung Indah Dock we used a small boat to cross to Dutungan Island, the boat has a capacity of 20-25 people. from the pier to the island of Dutungan is ± 1 km or about 7-10 minutes. And then when we arrive at Dutungan Island we change our clothes based on the dresscode (grey T-shirt and Dark Legging for girl, for boys use short pants) while waiting our friends come. after everyone already change their clothes then we gathering and get some information from the profesional diving instructor before we diving into the sea.




After we got information from the professional diving instructor, we have lunch and after lunch one by one try diving accompanied by professional diving instructor. while waiting our turn several other people try to snorkling.








After everyone already try to Diving, we change our clothes based on the Dresscode (Orange Guide T-shirt with dark jeans), we play some games and having fun together in front of the letter of 'Dutungan Island' and take some picture. After that we back to the dock and wait the boat to pick up us back to the Tanjung Indah Dock and headed directly to the Delima Sari Hotel which was our hotel to Stay.


we arrive at Delima Sari Hotel at 5.30 p.m and also check in. after that we prepare to went to dinner. we gathering at the lobby at 7.00 p.m and went to Ayam Penyet Ria to have dinner. We went to Ayam Penyet Ria by Walking because the distance from Hotel to the resto its not to far. We arrive at Ayam Penyet Ria at 19.05 and start our Dinner. after dinner we back to hotel again and start the presentation and some entertaiment.




After Presentation we back to our room to take a rest. In the morning we wake up at 5.00 a.m and we gathering at the lobby at 6.00 a.m to prepare morning excercise. we went to Habibie Ainun Statue by walking and take some picture over there.







After that we back to Hotel and prepare our belonging and have lunch, we leave the hotel at 8.00 a.m and went to Paputo Beach.




At paputo beach, we welcomed by the local people and we starting to observed the beach, we walking arround the beach... and enjoyed the view


paputo beach is a beach located in parepare city. paputo stands for pasir putih tonrangeng. this beach has a beautiful sand white and also the fresh air that makes the tourist feels more excited here...


many facilities provided in paputo beach, such as gazebo, jelly bean seat, restaurant, rest room/changing room.






at paputo beach we have snack time and singging and dancing together and it was so fun.








we leave paputo beach at 11.10 a.m and went to Teras Empang Restaurant to have lunch. From Paputo Beach to Teras Empang Resto its take about 5 minutes, it was not to far. after lunch we take a picture together before we back to the bus. and next we back to Makassar Tourism Polytechnic.





and the tour was over.
